We are hiring a Lead/ Principal Frontend Engineer to drive frontend development for our B2B SaaS platform, Money Forward Cloud Consolidated Accounting. You’ll lead technical strategy, development, and mentoring for frontend teams across Japan and Vietnam, building high- quality user experiences and collaborating with global product teams.This role is core to scaling our product globally and creating an exciting developer culture in the Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto) and beyond.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and mentor frontend teams across Japan and Vietnam.
Promote knowledge sharing, modern development practices, and CI/CD automation.
Design and build scalable, high- performing web applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Own and evolve the frontend development environment and workflows.
Ensure high standards in code quality, UX, performance, and accessibility.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers.
Drive frontend technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
Support junior/mid- level engineers in their growth and learning.

Our main requirements:
Fluent English communication skills (TOEIC 750+ or equivalent required or tested during selection).
Experience in MicroFE
Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
3+ years experience in React.js and Next.js in production systems.
Proven experience in setting frontend technical standards and mentoring engineers.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and AWS- based infrastructure.
Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
8+ years in web development; 5+ years in frontend engineering.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with GraphQL, Playwright, Storybook, and Node.js build tools (e.g., Babel, webpack).
Strong understanding of web security, performance optimization, and design systems.
Experience leading frontend in a B2B SaaS context.
