Mobile Telephony Framework

• Analyze and resolve issues related to the Telephony/Telecom Framework, including voice calls, SIM management, network registration, and IMS (VoLTE/VoWiFi).
• Lead requirement analysis, solution design, and implementation of telephony- related features for mobile platforms.
• Conduct bug investigation and root- cause analysis across Framework, HAL, and Modem layers, and deliver effective fixes.
• Optimize telephony system stability, call quality, performance, and overall user experience.
• Develop and maintain Android Telephony systems on mobile devices.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and reports for non- technical stakeholders, ensuring issues and solutions are communicated in an understandable manner.

Skilled with Android development and debugging tools such as Android Studio, Logcat, dumpsys, Modem logs, RIL logs, Systrace, etc.
Capable of creating technical documents, analysis reports, and simplified explanations tailored for non- technical customers or partners.
Proficient in English (spoken and written), with strong communication and technical troubleshooting abilities.
Good teamwork and communication skills; responsible, detail- oriented, and able to work under pressure.
Familiar with mobile modem and baseband architecture, SIM/UICC behavior, and communication between Framework – HAL – Modem (RIL).
Strong analytical and problem- solving abilities; able to work independently and manage task progress effectively.
Strong understanding of Android IPC mechanisms (AIDL, Binder).
Proficient in Java/Kotlin, with in- depth knowledge of the Android Telephony/Telecom Framework, RIL, ImsService, CarrierConfig, and ContentProvider.
Experienced in system- level interactions between the Telephony Framework and Dialer applications, including call flow handling, InCallService, and Telecom APIs.
