Position Information
Location: Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City
Reports to: Managing Director / FMCG Director
Department: Commercial
Position Objective
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Modern Trade (MT) channel, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and improving profitability. The role focuses on building strategic partnerships with key customers and ensuring effective execution of new product launches (NPD) aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management
• Negotiate commercial terms including listing, pricing, promotions, and rebates.
• Identify opportunities to expand category presence and grow sales.
• Build and implement Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key customers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Buyers and Category Managers of assigned MT accounts.
Sales & Business Performance
• Monitor performance by customer and SKU; recommend actions to improve sales and profitability.
• Optimize product portfolio, pricing, and promotional programs.
• Achieve sales targets including Sell- in, Sell- out, Net Sales, and Gross Margin.
New Product Launch & Trade Execution
• Coordinate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Field Sales to ensure strong execution.
• Ensure effective in- store execution including promotions, displays, and planograms.
• Plan and execute new product launches (NPD) in the MT channel.
Reporting & Collaboration
• Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights.
• Work closely with cross- functional teams to ensure business targets are achieved.
