Product Compliance Engineer - Motorcycle

JOB SUMMARY
Actively maintain global emissions, vehicle systems and other product certifications for on- road motorcycles. Implement new regulations and industry standards requirements. Act as subject matter expert for North America, Europe, APAC and global emerging markets product compliance for all stakeholders, including distributors, testing facilities, and regulatory bodies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Formulate and submit regulatory non- compliance & recall- related documentation as needed.
Participate in regular compliance status, continuous improvement, and PDP reviews.
Submit annual government regulatory reports related to vehicle compliance as needed.
Implement regulatory requirements for new products in all global markets.
Ensure vehicle compliance with APAC, GSO, North American, and European regulations.
Facilitate materials compliance team with international requirements for vehicle components.
Provide input to industry association technical committee representatives as requested and stay informed of new requirements in assigned countries.
Procure cert test bikes and manage in- country cert testing activities of bikes & components.
Plan and coordinate with engineering, product management, and manufacturing to incorporate regulatory requirements in product specifications and validation plans.
Maintain excellent working relationships with international agencies and distributors.
Maintain and support development of automated compliance systems at Indian Motorcycle.
Obtain and maintain vehicle certifications in accordance with global regulations.
Continuously develop and refine product compliance strategies and processes.
Conduct and support product development process (PDP), part release system (PRS), and Bill of Material (BOM) compliance reviews and prepare required deliverables.
Investigate and escalate potential product non- conformities to product compliance manager.
