Product Engineer (Sofa Upholstery)

Collaborate with all departments such as S&D, PUR, and QC to develop new materials, process sample making, and follow up on sample approval.
Managed new product introduction (NPI) process from Cover Fit to Pilot Run, ensuring successful mass production launch
Drive continuous improvement for UPH and cost- saving initiatives.
Work closely with the US Engineering, Cover Fit, Design, and Pattern teams on New Go, Engineering changes, and product improvements.
Facilitate cost- saving projects related to UPH products, such as new foam density, layered cushions, stick frames, CB, packing, etc…
Work with and advise production to resolve engineering and quality issues.
Work with US/China facilities and Managers to receive inline product engineering changes, improvements, or issue resolutions for inline items, and implement the changes in production.
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested by the Department Manager.
Work with the team to develop new furniture projects based on assignments from the leader.

Education:

Expertise in graphics design is a plus.
Bachelor&039;s degree in Engineering or related technical field from universities (Candidates with a passion for learning in furniture industry).

Experience:

From 1- year in an Engineering role within a large- scale, labor- intensive manufacturing companies;
Experience with CAD, CAM, SolidWorks, etc. is preferred.

Knowledge:

Have knowledge process about furniture product (sofa product), technical product, design (preferred).
Excel, PPT, CAD, SolidWorks
