Production Planning Intern

The Production Planning Intern will support for creating and managing production schedules, analyzing data to optimize production processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that production planning tasks are completed as required.
Production Scheduling and Planning: Ensure the optimal scheduling of production orders to meet customer demand, minimize downtime, and balance resources
• Coordinate with Supply Planning and warehouse teams to ensure availability of raw materials.
• Track and update the status of raw and packaging material availability for planned jobs.
• Flag material shortages and recommend action plans to avoid production stoppages.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on forecasts, orders, and inventory.
• Generate material requirement plans (MRP) based on the production schedule.
• Ensure priority products are scheduled based on critical delivery timelines.
• Monitor adherence to plans and adjust schedules as necessary due to material delays, breakdowns, or urgent orders.
SAP System and Data Management: Maintain accurate and timely entry and management of planning data in SAP for traceability and efficiency.
• Analyze SAP reports to track order status, WIP (Work in Progress), and delays.Print SAP labels.
• Perform goods issue, consumption booking, and order confirmations in SAP.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide timely and accurate production planning reports to support operations and management.
- Analyze variances between planned and actual production to support root cause analysis.
- Support internal and external audits with relevant planning data.
- Prepare daily production status reports, schedule adherence reports, and utilization metrics.
- Maintain dashboards for KPI tracking (e.g., schedule adherence, output vs. plan).
