Project Purchasing Lead

• Initiate & define Purchase Project strategy for Transfer projects with alignment of Region/Global Category Managers & Business Unit Purchase regard to the local supplier base, sourcing strategies in terms of single/dual sourcing and the requirement of developing suppliers
• Negotiation of project- specific conditions in alignment with Category Manager
• Periodic Monitor of parts status, including review with Supplier Development, Category Buyer / Manager, Supplier quality Engineer & timely highlight of Potential risk if any.
• Contracts: ready- to- sign project- specific conditions aligned with Category Manager
• Responsible for supplier selection incl. early involvement of suppliers, RFx, aligned with Categor y Manager
• Responsible for definition and execution of project- related sourcing activities, aligned with Category Manager
• Early involvement of plant and plant purchasing and realization of handover to production plan
• Track and evaluate project- related changes (of purchased parts)
• Takes responsibility for purchased parts BOM cost evaluation, validation and alignment as part of acquisition phase and PPA
• Detects and manages project- related risks of purchased parts (e.g., change request, capacity, ramp- up risks)
• Development and implementation of cost reduction programs/ technical savings to optimize supplier manufacturing costs in alignment with R&D and Supplier Technology Engineer (STE) (before and after SOP)
• Manage and lead, Business Unit purchasing (Project Purchasing) team for all projects (New Development/ Transfer projects/ PEP/IOP/ MoB etc) and ensure Project targets (Quality /Cost /Delivery/Sustainability/Time line) are met from purchasing side
• Calculation (incl. tooling, R&D and component specific costs; until SOP)
• Supports make- or- buy analysis
• Alignment with sales to ensure, that supplier agreements are in line with to commercial agreements of customer
• Represents the purchasing department in Product Development Projects and ensures the external delivery at start of production (SOP)

• Capable to work independent in matrix organization
• Fluent English in speaking and writing
• Good Strategically thinking
• Knowledge of SAP system
• Strong commitment to business targets
• Excellent negotiation skill, interpersonal communication skills
• Good experience and knowledge in purchasing affairs and production process
• 10 years plus experience in Mechanical Industries in Purchasing function
• Knowledge in Cost Estimation
• Good reporting and presentation skills
• Strong leadership, ownership and time management
• Capable to manage complex projects
• Project Management Skills
