JOB DESCRIPTION
Purchasing Planning & Operations
• Manage local and import purchasing activities to ensure timely supply of goods.
• Monitor purchase prices, purchasing costs, and inventory levels.
• Develop and execute monthly/quarterly/annual purchasing plans aligned with business objectives.
Team Management & Performance
• Manage the Purchasing team (2–3 members), including workload planning, task assignment, and timely execution.
• Define and implement KPIs for the Purchasing team, and monitor performance against cost, lead time, and supplier compliance targets.
• Develop team capability through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
Supplier Management & Negotiation
• Identify, evaluate, and develop local and international suppliers.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, commercial terms, and delivery terms.
• Ensure at least three qualified suppliers per category (where applicable).
Cross- functional Coordination & Process Improvement
• Coordinate with relevant departments (Warehouse, Accounting/Finance, Sales, etc.) to ensure orders, deliveries, documentation, and payments are completed accurately and on time.
• Improve purchasing procedures and supplier evaluation processes.
Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare purchasing performance reports and highlight supply risks/issues.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Strong knowledge of import procedures and Incoterms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
• Good English communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong negotiation and people management skills.
• Strong systems mindset with a proactive approach and a high sense of responsibility.
