Senior Data Engineer (GCP Specialist)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This company is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for supporting the rapidly growing our data infrastructure:

Architecture & Design: Lead the end- to- end technical design of our Data Warehouse on Big Query, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and future proof.
Pipeline Engineering: Architect and implement high- performance ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from a complex variety of sources.
Orchestration & Automation: Streaming data uses Airflow composer, Cloud Function, Data Proc and CI/CD pipelines to ensure data reliability and developer efficiency.
Cost & Performance Optimization: Be the guardian of the platform, optimizing query performance and managing GCP cloud costs effectively.
Data Governance: Implement "Security by Design," ensuring high standards for data quality, privacy, and governance across the entire solution.

Data Modeling: Experience in SQL performance, turning, and modern data modeling techniques (e.g., Data Vault, OBT).
Modern Tools: Familiar with Airflow, Kafka.
Experience: 3–5+ years in Data Engineering (Experience in a "Greenfield" project or building systems from 0 to 1 is a massive plus).
CI/CD Knowledge: Understanding the CI/CD processes, with some experience in integration of automated tests and deploying applications through pipelines (e.g. GitHub Action)
Mindset: A problem- solver who stays updated with industry trends and isn&039;t afraid to propose "outside- the- box" solutions.
Coding Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, Bash script. Have a good understanding of programming principles such as clean code, refactoring, and must have Unit Test.
GCP Expertise: Deep hands- on mastery of Big Query/DW and related services (Cloud Storage, Cloud Function, Data Proc, IAM, Networks...).
