We are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems (Engine Management System Software) for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. The Software Engineer engages directly with Customer, development teams, technical delivery teams and HW system teams to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of technology- based solutions.

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer (Engine Management System Software)

DUTY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements engineering: registration, scheduling, ordering and tracking of requirements and their implementation
Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
Provide post production support
Integrate and validate new product designs
Be the main technical interface of the EMS (Engine management system) system to both internal and external stake holders
Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
Strong debugging & Problem solving skills
Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
Interface with hardware design and development teams
Analyzing and fixing of issues reported in the component
Review code, design and Test results
Assess third party and open source software’s
Document and present technical material to both internal project stakeholders and external customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

Mandatory Skills:

Exposure to Micro- controllers or Microprocessors
Strong documentation and writing skills
Strong in C/C++ language Programming
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review
Good English language skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening)
Embedded SW Development & Co- ordination
Hands on experience with debugging tools such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and multimeters.
4+ Years’ experience in Embedded Software development
Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills.
Experience in hands- on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
Excellent organization and time management skills
Scripting languages (Python, Perl, vb …)

Desirable Skills:

Exposure to use of Emulators, Simulators, debugging and Test Equipment
Ability to work independently while supporting multiple projects in a dynamic environment
Exposure to Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
Exposure to control systems
Japanese proficiency is preferable with N4, N3 level
Exposure to Automotive Embedded Technology (Power Train, CAN etc)
Experience with Project management, Team/Technical leader skills and software development process (ASPICE, V- Model, Scrum, Agile)
