Senior Laboratory Technician – Food Testing Laboratory

Provide daily updates to the leader/manager on the progress of tasks and report any issues encountered during testing.
Develop and validate new testing methods to improve lab operations and ensure continuous improvement.
Perform any other duties as requested by the leader/manager.
Thoroughly review and understand testing instructions, guidelines, SOPs, and procedures before performing any tests.
Take responsibility for the technical accuracy and quality of all lab activities as assigned by the leader/manager.
Maintain accurate records of assigned equipment, environmental conditions, reagents, and internal worksheets, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and maintained at the required intervals.
Record all raw data related to testing, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation.
Ensure all chemicals, solvents, reagents, and other materials are stored properly according to safety procedures and that the work area remains clean and safe.
Review and verify testing results (either individually or as a team) before submission to the leader/manager.
Comply with laboratory quality management and safety standards during all daily activities.
Receive and carefully review test orders, ensuring proper execution in accordance with required protocols.

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
Solid experience in operating food testing equipment and reviewing testing results.
At least 5 years of experience in food nutrition/proximate testing, with experience leading teams in a service laboratory environment preferred.
Proficient in reading and understanding documents in English; good communication skills in English.
Results- driven and service- oriented, with a focus on delivering high- quality outcomes.
A proactive team player, with the ability to work independently on challenging projects and tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements and laboratory quality standards.
