Senior Material Engineer

Lead R&D initiatives for new resin formulations tailored to furniture applications (e.g., durability, aesthetics, cost- efficiency).Provide technical expertise in blow molding and injection molding processes, especially for large plastic components.Collaborate with design, tooling, and production teams to ensure material compatibility and process efficiency.Conduct root cause analysis and resolve quality issues related to plastic materials and molding processes.Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, additives, and recycled materials for sustainability and performance.Develop and maintain material specifications, testing protocols, and technical documentation.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in polymer science.

Knowledge:Proven track record in resin development, material selection, and process troubleshooting.Strong understanding of thermoplastics, additives, recycled polymers, and furniture- grade materials.Experience with quality systems, DOE, and failure analysis tools (e.g., SEM, FTIR, DSC).Excellent problem- solving, communication, and cross- functional collaboration skills.Skills and Abilities:Experience in manufacturing furniture or consumer goods.Familiarity with sustainability initiatives in plastics (e.g., bio- based resins, recyclability).Knowledge of international standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO) for plastic materialsEnglish communication skills (speaking, reading, writing) is a plus
