Supplier Audit Specialist

Supplier Evaluation & Auditing
• Evaluate and monitor suppliers’ activities through system and process inspections; review and approve supplier improvement plans and monitor their implementation.
• Develop audit plans, conduct evaluations of manufacturing processes at supplier plants, and prepare detailed reports.
• Support new product development and mass production components by resolving issues arising from sample approvals or assembly line complaints; validate technical solutions and monitor implementation until full resolution.
• Assess potential new suppliers for Piaggio Group components as requested by the Purchasing Department, including evaluation inspections and checks on commodity processes and products.
• Conduct audits to verify suppliers’ organizational compliance with fundamental requirements, ensuring alignment with Piaggio standards and product quality expectations.
Supplier Improvement
• Verify that supplier production processes comply with Piaggio’s standards and defined procedures.
• Assess management systems, work methods, and adherence to quality standards in production processes.
• Define and implement quality improvement plans.
• Variance analysis management by defined how the difference of actual and planned behaviors indicates how product performance is being impacted.
Cross- Departmental Coordination
• Act as the key liaison between suppliers and Piaggio, coordinating development activities.
• Work regularly with the Incoming Quality (CMA), Quality Online, and Market Claim teams to support quality assurance of mass- produced products.
• Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Sample Lab, and R&D departments in new product development.
