* JOB DESCRIPTION
Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams during pilot builds and trials.
Troubleshoot process issues such as uneven surface finish, sanding marks, pin hole treatment, over- polishing, or excessive material removal.
Validate new materials, tools, and finishing methods to meet design surface requirements (Roughness, glossiness, flatness).
Establish and maintain standard process parameters (speed, pressure, grit sequence, time, etc.).
Develop and define sanding and polishing processes for carbon fiber/ composite parts.
Define surface quality inspection methods and acceptance criteria.
Select appropriate abrasives, polishing compounds, pads, and tools based on finish requirements.
Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) and capability studies (Cp, Cpk) for process optimization.
Create and update Work Instructions (WI), Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, Control Plans.
Support operators and technicians in setup and adjustment of sanding/polishing equipment (manual, semi- auto, or robotic).
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of machines, jigs, and tools used in the process.
Monitor and control key process parameters to maintain surface quality.
