Role Description
We are looking for a System Engineer specializing in VMware to join the operation and development of the virtualization infrastructure at FPT Telecom International’s Data Center. Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with software teams to deploy, upgrade, and optimize applications and services running on the virtualization platform.
Build and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and operational automation tools (scripting with Bash/Python, etc.).
Operate, monitor, and optimize VMware virtualization infrastructure, including VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Director, VMware vSAN, and related components (Storage, Network, vApp, VDC, etc.).
Monitor systems, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues related to VMware, Storage, Network, and applications.
Deploy, configure, and manage physical and virtual server environments in the Data Center.
Participate in projects involving the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems for enterprise customers.
Research and propose technical solutions to enhance system performance, availability, and scalability.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience as a System Engineer, Datacenter Engineer, or a similar role.
Hands- on experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting VMware environments (vSphere/vCenter/vSAN).
Strong knowledge and practical experience with Linux operating systems (CentOS/Ubuntu/RedHat) and Windows Server.
Basic knowledge of Networking (Cisco/Juniper) and Storage technologies (NAS/SAN/CEPH, etc.).
Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PHP.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or an equivalent field.
Advantages:

Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
