Position Title: Test Engineer
Reports To: Technology Manager
Position Summary
The Test Engineer is responsible for the daily operation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used in production. The role ensures tester stability, supports failure analysis, and coordinates technical activities with internal teams and the customer’s ATE engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate records of system logs, failure logs, maintenance logs, and repair history.
• Review and understand ATE schematics, wiring diagrams, fixture drawings, and related technical documentation.
• Support improvement activities to enhance test stability, cycle time, and test yield.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as cables, sockets, pneumatics, boards, or mechanical parts when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety and equipment handling standards.
• Perform daily operation and monitoring of ATE test stations in the production line.
• Train and guide technicians/operators on proper tester operation and handling procedures.
• Coordinate with the customer ATE team for escalations, technical support, and new station setup when needed.
• Conduct troubleshooting to identify root causes of test failures (hardware, software, fixture, interface issues).
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to defined schedules and maintenance procedures.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
• Able to work in production floor environment and respond to issues in real- time.
• Solid understanding of basic electronics and ability to read schematics.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams.
• Experience in ATE, ICT, FCT, board- level test, or electronic hardware repair is a strong advantage.
• Good problem- solving skills and logical troubleshooting approach.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, RS232, CAN) and measurement instruments (Multimeter, Oscilloscope).
• Basic English communication for reading documentation and technical discussions.
Work Environment
• On- site at production line (day shift; may require flexible support during priority builds).
