Main responsibilities
1. IQC Assistance Manager:
- Leading IQC team by maintaining and improving inspection and testing procedures, forms and data collection, analysis and presentation.
- Training IQC inspectors to conduct visual tests and measurements of parts and materials per inspection specifications and instructed sample-sizes (AQL level, C=0).
- Training IQC leaders to determine if inspected goods have passed or failed, and report key quality metrics and results on provided forms based on inspection results, and using criteria provided in specifications.
- Handling MRB leader to handle reject parts.
- Monitoring IQC leaders to keep measurement equipment clean, in good working order, calibrated, and maintain cleanliness and good 5S environment in inspection area.
- Taking care customer during audit and report to customer as well as show improvements if needed.
2. SQE responsibilities.
- Supplier quality control
- Conduct suppliers audit (once a Quarterly)
- Work with Suppliers on root cause analysis and drive mutual corrective actions to completion
- Review 8D/SCAR reports from suppliers, follow up vendors' improvement, verify corrective action of vendor, and report to customer in some cases.
- Create the Standard Inspection Procedure for IQC inspector to inspect incoming material/parts.
II. Customer Quality Engineer Supervisor
Main responsibilities
- Lead the QA team, develop internal QA procedures and requirements, and ensure the team delivers the right results
- Ensure QA staff knows their roles and responsibilities, well trained by customers and their quality expectations
- Provide professional advice on Quality system and handle Quality related issues
- Take a proactive approach to improve Quality system in the factory and sub-contractors
- Promote Quality culture by conducting orientation and training in Quality concept
- Set long term Quality goal and direction, develop strategies and implement procedures, to meet set objectives in reasonable cost, ultimately achieve the factory mission of "Voice of customer" in providing quality service and product
- Deal with customer in solving Quality related issues.
- Manager all quality process of the factory to meet or exceed established goals/KPIs
- Ensure the optimal organization and performance of the laboratory
- Develop and improve key performance indicators relating to quality function through constant Pareto Analysis, process capacity Analysis, and lesson learn
- Develop and improve all critical to quality area per customer requirement
- Internal audit and monitor the performance of company's quality objectives and prepare summary
- Review, approve, control and distribute all documents (working instruction, inspection and testing report, checklist, format...)
- Solve any issues feedback from customer as well as in production line.
Recognition and Gains:
- Make product quality meet customer requirement and get customer's satisfaction
- For high volume products (10k ~ 12k/day) defect rate is decreased from 1.8% to 0.8% and final yield rate is increased from 86.5% to 91.0% in the first month of running (more and more decreased follows KPI goals).
- Have been improving quality system with many auto control systems and real time showing (Example: ESD control system, yield rate/defect rate control system, download/upload shipping data system, ...)
