Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be curious about the market – Stay on top of consumer trends, competitive landscape, and new digital/communication tools
- Guide the team – Mentor junior team members, share best practices, and build a collaborative, high- performing environment.
- Collaborate with partners – Work with media, creative, and third- party vendors to ensure synergy and efficiency across all touchpoints.
- Run it like a business – Monitor client budgets, issue estimates/invoices, and ensure monthly reconciliation with accuracy and accountability.
- Own the project from A to Z – Lead cross- functional teams to deliver work that is on time, on budget, and on brief. You are the glue that keeps everything (and everyone) aligned.
- Build meaningful client relationships – Go beyond day- to- day communication. Cultivate long- term trust by being a thoughtful advisor, not just a vendor.
- Internal culture carrier – Actively embody and spread the company’s values. You’ll help shape team culture and align your way of working with Mekong’s direction.
- Be the client’s strategic partner – Understand their business, challenges, and goals to co- develop strategic recommendations, not just execute deliverables. You’re not just “in touch”, you’re “in sync”
- Grow the business – Take ownership in expanding business from both existing clients and new pitches. You’ll play a key role in hitting revenue targets and driving profitability.
- Work smarter with AI – Embrace AI- powered tools (ChatGPT, Notion AI, etc.) to optimize productivity, spark ideas, and streamline daily tasks — not to replace thinking, but to level it up.
- Continuously optimize – Monitor campaign performance, proactively identify issues, and propose improvements or upsell opportunities.
Required Skills/Experiences/Qualifications:
- Proven ability to build and retain strong client relationships
- A passion for marketing, curiosity for new platforms, and an instinct for what makes people care.
- A proactive mindset: anticipate, not react. You’re always 3 steps ahead.
- 4+ years of experience in communication/marketing, ideally at an agency handling fast- paced, multi- layered clients.
- Team leadership experience – You’re comfortable mentoring junior staff and raising the team’s standard.
- Fluent in Vietnamese and professional English communication is a plus.
- Adaptable, positive, and collaborative – You align quickly with new environments and inspire others to do the same.
- Strong project management and organizational skills – you thrive in the chaos and know how to make order out of it.
- Sharp business acumen – You understand how communication impacts business outcomes.
- Solid knowledge of digital marketing, PR, and integrated communication strategies.
