Accountant (with Finance Support)

Position summary: The Accountant will be responsible for daily accounting tasks such as financial reporting, general ledger entries, local tax filings, recording payments and adjustments, and working closely with other departments to support budgeting, financial analysis, and financial modelling. This role is designed to support both accounting (approximately 70%) and finance- related functions (approximately 30%) to meet the increasing demands of a growing number of entities within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Scope (70%):
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax reports and compliance filings;
• Manage outsourced accounting services/agencies to ensure compliance with Vietnamese laws and accounting regulations for both the Company and its SPVs;
• Review bank payment documentation and ensure proper controls are in place;
• Prepare AP payment vouchers to ensure payments are made accurately and on time;
• Liaise with internal/external auditors, tax authorities, and relevant government bodies on accounting and finance matters;
• Maintain up- to- date accounting and operational control policies;
• Maintain accurate books and records in compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards;
• Coordinate with banking partners to maintain smooth payment operations;
• Monitor, support, and improve accounts receivable collections;
• Work with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing;
• Support the Manager in working with banks for senior loan arrangements, including drawdowns and repayment management;
• Receive and review supplier invoices and supporting documents; ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and legal regulations;
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments in line with contracts and approval procedures (Limits of Authority – LOA);
Finance Support Scope (30%):
• Assist the Finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing management reports;
• Support analysis of budget vs. actual performance, and investigate key variances;
• Coordinate financial data for internal reviews and management presentations;
• Participate in financial modelling activities related to project evaluation, investment returns, and portfolio- level planning;
• Contribute to the development of tools and processes that improve financial reporting and decision- making;
