Actuarial Analyst Intern

Purpose of this role:
This candidate is a member of the Actuarial department, reports to Senior Actuary and is responsible for different aspects of actuarial pricing including product pricing, reinsurance, system implementation and distribution development.
Main Responsibility
Support various tasks related to data analysis, industry benchmarking and analysis of competitors’ products
Gain exposures to different product types and understand product features/concepts
Manage and familiarize life insurance systems e.g. LAS, GIS, Genova, etc
Coordinate with BA/IT and other departments to deliver product implementation (including preparing test-scripts, illustrations, SIS, system set-up, UAT, Day 2)
Support POS on various requests
Assist Senior Actuary to deliver feasibility study and develop product design

* Education /knowledge:
• Knowledge of Actuarial science and Finance is a plus
• Degree holder in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or related quantitative subject from a recognized university
* Experience:
• Basic knowledge of financial terminology
• Relevant experience in financial areas and data analysis is a plus
* Skills:
• Knowledge of Excel, MS Word, database software
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
