The duties and responsibilities of Admission Officer
include but is not limited to:
Work on admission and entrance examination regulations.
Work on and develop the Admission and Entrance Examination processes;
Help to conceptually optimize all regulations if administrative problems are arising
Work on rules for all entrance examinations carried out at VGU;
Work on online applications system closely with Student Recruitment Dept. and study programs.
Review online applications following admission regulations;
Provide consulting to candidates of Bachelor programs about admission and application process;
Check and reply emails of applicants and relevant departments/ units.
Give general guidance to applicants and coordinators/ relevant units concerning admission and entrance examination regulations.
Maintain an up- to- date understanding of regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and practices of other universities regarding admission and entrance examination for bachelor programs and contribute to the revision of university regulations, policies and procedures.
Make admission announcements, admission decisions, meeting minutes, relevant documents and ensure it is issued and released on time. Announce admission results to applicants.
Archive, manage and maintain update- to- date content/documents/ decisions related to admission, entrance examination on VGU&039;s website, Quality Handbook on wiki page, VGU&039;s cloud, cabinets and other archive systems.
Work on Integrated Campus Management System (ICMS). Keep track and validate admission results of applicants of all study programs. Provide statistic data and relevant reports on demand.
Organize VGU&039;s own entrance examinations for Bachelor applicants. Work closely together with other departments/units (e.g. Student Recruitment, Language Center and Foundation Year and Student Affairs) and the faculties for the admission and enrollment procedures.
Review,·develop and manage to issuing/archiving the VGU&039;s Bachelor admission processes and relevant guidelines and regulations; make sure that all legal requirements are fulfilled.
Organise internal/external workshops, trainings, events relating to admission, entrance examination or arrange staff and faculty attendance at such events organised by external institutions if necessary.
