Application Software Engineer

Qorvo’s Application team is seeking a talented Application Software Engineer. The ideal candidate chosen for this role will provide user-friendly, seamlessly integrated GUI software for Qorvo’s power management products. The candidate will use VB .NET, C and C++ in conjunction with existing Software and APIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics
 Working closely with other developers and engineers
 Writing and implementing efficient code
 Provide comprehensive support to internal/external customers; achieve a resolution to outstanding problems, or issues
 Testing and evaluating programs
 Researching, designing, implementing and managing Windows-based Graphic User Interface (GUI) software to configure and monitor Qorvo’s digital and analog power management devices.
 Determining operational practicality

Technical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Nice to have: Knowledge about 8051 based or ARM-based microcontroller. Understanding of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, GPIB...)
• Excellent Visual Basic .NET /C++ programming capabilities
• Well versed in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), programming and design patterns
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Familiar with Windows-based GUI software development
• Extensive experience in the full life cycle of the software design process including requirement analysis, design, prototyping, coding, documentation, implementation, and maintenance
• Batch/Shell scripting experience

• Able to handle multiple priorities
• Excellent analytical skills
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Have at least 2 years of Windows based software product development experience
• Self-motivated, independent, proactive, detail-oriented, and responsible team-player
