Assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Engineering department including equipment, technical work, carpentry, sustainability, fire and safety systems and a preventative maintenance program to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.
Continually focus on improving maintenance and engineering practices to ensure the product remains in optimal order and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and practices and updating knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering,
Ensure that rostering and manning are adequate to meet the requirements, plus organize external contractors as required.
Ensure interaction and communications with other departments within the resort are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the resort.

Involved, visible and proactive leader with excellent organizational skills, capable of providing focused direction and continuing to maintain the property’s prominent position within the market.
Ability to analyze and design projects, conduct investigations and maintaining full knowledge of engineering- related products and services used in resorts.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in either Mechanical or Electrical disciplines and more than six years’ experience in a similar hotel engineering role.
From a technology perspective: competent in Advanced MS Office- Word Excel and Outlook.
Excellent command of written and spoken English with some knowledge of the local language and customs.
Responsive, engaged and interactive leader, capable of building strong positive relationships with hosts that results in a shared vision of success for the operation, demonstrated ability to leverage shared resources, undertake training as needed and to manage through influence.
Well- developed capability for strategic decision- making and a track record of proven results.
Intuitive sense of product and service quality, a passion for excellence and an understanding of the sophisticated needs of the luxury customer.
