Duties and responsibilities Financial returns:
• Assist to coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, etc.
• Establish and interpret key performance indicators to assist in managing the department, consistently takes into accounts financial implications of business decisions and recommendations
• Has a broad knowledge of how the business is run, focuses on the major factors necessary to ensure that the business is successful and profitable
• Assist to ensure staff has the information, datas, tools and equipment to successfully carry out job duties
• Produce Action Plan related to the Revenue Plan to ensure Revenue Plan objectives are achieved
• Assist to produce the Annual Revenue Plan, Marketing Budgets and Forecasts
• Participate in the preparation of the Resort’s Strategic Plans, budget’s meeting, P&L meeting
• Be responsible for your department P&L
• Create and implement special programs to achieve greater profitability through:
• Assist to educate, train and motivate the teams to achieve department and hotel revenue goals.
• Provides a professional, advisory support service to the Director of Sales & Marketing
Increasing local Food & Beverage and Banquet Sales
Increasing overall occupancy
Increasing business volume during off- peak periods

• Works with Director of Sales & Marketing in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget
People:
• Review regularly the Public Relations activities to ensure high awareness of the hotel in the local and national media
• Become familiar with the InterContinental Danang Resort employee handbook and Collective Labor Agreement (KKB), follow the rules of the agreement.
• Manage day- to- day activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
• Review regularly activity reports of Sales personnel to ensure targets and Sales objectives are being met
• Works with Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs
• Lead by example, promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with key department heads.
• Procure new and repeat business for the hotel by maintaining contact with Airlines, Travel Agencies, Commercial Houses, Private Clubs and Professional Associations within the community and neighboring markets
• Perform/ behave as per IHG Winning Ways and IHG leadership competencies
• Work with Human Resources on manpower planning, performance management and talent management
Guest experience:
• Enhance the image of the hotel in the local community
• Drive to deliver Luxury Experiences to guests, to achieve Heartbeat target
• Interacts with individuals outside the hotel, including, but not limited to clients, Convention
• Develop and update department SOPs (standard Operation Procedure), JD (Job description) and implement it to enhance the guest experience
• Perform Brand’s Services behaviours in daily operation basic towards the guests
Bureaus, local Hotel Associations, Government Tourist offices, Airlines, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, competitors and other members of the local community
• Maintain good communication with Regional Sales and Marketing personnel and implement corporate initiatives

• Review regularly internal promotion pieces for visual effect and ensure they conform with brand standards

• Participate as an active member of the community through associations, memberships and other trade organizations

• Organize and promote, in cooperation with the Food & Beverage Department special projects to stimulate Food & beverage sales within the community, including, but limited to, tournaments, balls, parties, gastronomic festivities, etc.

Reviewing Sales Department and Front Office correspondence files
Analyzing competition&039;s sales/promotion efforts
Studying guest questionnaires
Analyzing guest history and registration card files
Studying various reference and industry publications for sales leads
Reviewing government statistics on visitors to the city
• Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:
• Works with Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs
• Procure new and repeat business for the hotel by maintaining contact with Airlines, Travel Agencies, Commercial Houses, Private Clubs and Professional Associations within the community and neighboring markets
• Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
• Conduct market research
• Recommend to Director of Sales & Marketing the kind of advertising which will be most productive for the hotel by analyzing the market effectiveness of past advertising campaigns and consulting with other Department Heads and the Advertising Agency
Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with resort requirement
Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures. o Be familiar with property, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines.
