JOB SUMMARY
– assist with all day to day health and safety activities
– assist with the performance of all duties in compliance with insert as applicable e.g. ISO certification meet your targets and those of the team as a whole
– assist with EHS management systems in accordance with organization plans and compliance with and adherence to legislation and applicable regulatory bodies’ processes and procedures
– contribute to training and development of the team
– adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
– delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review
– manage the preparation and agreement of individual action plans and targets for all team members
– control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls
– contribute to ensuring that the organisation meets all health and safety legislation objectives and that appropriate risk mitigation/control measures are in place
– produce and deliver presentations and proposals
– train and appraise individual team members to ensure targets are met
– assist with the EHS development, performance and maintenance within the organization
– maintain and improve mechanisms for risk assessment and disseminate feedback as appropriate – to assist with the recruitment of team members, subject to agreed criteria

– maintain accurate records
– interact and co- operate with all members of the organisation, its suppliers and clients/customers From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.
– assist with risk assessment, audit review, monitoring & managing health and safety within the organisation
– reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis, as agreed
– contribute to maximum profitability and growth in accordance with organisation plans
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
Responsibility to staff and direct the team :
– to assist with the performance and development of team members
– assist with investigating incidents and accidents to ensure the timely production of corrective and preventative action plans.
– assist with identifying any shortfalls in and/or potential improvements to policy and process, assess effectiveness of current policies and processes and recommend and help implement required changes
– set an example for team members of commitment, health and safety awareness, work ethics and habits and personal character
– provide advice, guidance and support to the organisation with regards to health and safety legislation, issues and compliance together with all applicable organisation policies and practices, referring to Line Manager as appropriate
– to assist in developing plans for team activities to include health and safety strategy to achieve agreed targets, and effective planning
