Mô tả công việc

Work with Director to achieve departmental revenue targets
Attend group run downs, site inspections and all other briefings as required
Sell and promote Banquet Function for all meetings and events.
Ensure the consistency of Delphi standards within the wedding department
Issue Event Order’s for daily functions ideally 5 days before function, except for Last Minute functions.
Identify and recommend opportunities to gain a competitive advantage over competitors
Maintenance and management of booking data base (Delphi)
Meet with clients and attend to the details of their events (including all types of events including weddings, business meetings, small conferences; internal meetings and external meetings, etc.)
Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues
Work closely with the Banquet Department, the Food & Beverage Director and the Chef to ensure complete follow up a function.
Help create the department’s annual budget and the setting of departmental goals
Enhance brand reputation online through social media channels
Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on food, beverage, and labor costs….
Entertain potential accounts where necessary.
Interact with potential clients and industry trade representatives of competitive hotels
Handle office phone calls in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with the co- ordination all familiarizations and site inspections as required
Work closely with suppliers (i.e. entertainment/theming) to ensure the clients event is delivered as per the clients expectations
Attend to telephone, fax, email enquiries in a timely manner
Assist with direct mail campaigns where necessary
Working with Reservations Manager for space allocation of rooms for client
Provide a monthly report on the weddings department.
Prepare proposals and contract letters to customers in an efficient and timely manner.
Manage suppliers and ensure that we are receiving the best costs
Prepare daily and monthly Banquet Sales Report (business negotiating, business confirmed, and business lost; always aware of the reason of losing business in order to improve for further business opportunities).
Solicit maximum business from market segments as assigned by Director of Catering/ Cluster DOSM/ General Manager when required.
Train and develop fellow team members in the department to ensure a consistent approach is being delivered for all events.
Ensure that MSS targets are met and that results are communicated to the wider hotel team.
Research and report upon Market trends as well as market intelligence
Ensure Delphi is updated on a regular basis with regard to business information and business status

Yêu cầu công việc

Writing- Communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Good English communications and writing skills to facilitate the communication process
Reading Comprehension – Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Excellent Computer Skills- Uses basic computer hardware and software (e.g., personal computers, word processing software, Internet browsers, etc.).
Oral Comprehension- Listens to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
