Automation Project Management
Create project communication channels in collaboration with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Supervision and floor operators.
Develop and maintain Gantt Charts, Project Schedules, Risk Assessments and Contingency Plans.
Attend improvement meetings, work with Operations Team to develop action plans for new automated and semi- automated equipment.
Make formal presentations to management on project status.
Factory Automation and Technology Development
Support continuous improvement projects in Gamba, Visual Management, OEE, etc.
Ability to use CAD, Creo, solidworks to design automated equipment, integrated systems (for Automation Hardware and Mechanical Design- Mechatronic Engineering)
Coordinate with EHS and relevant departments to evaluate technical, safety, or calibration requirements, installation parameters for implementation, and have records of machinery and equipment information.
Ability to build simulations, realistic prototypes to validate feasibility as well as estimate time/cost to manufacture and test proposed manufacturing processes.
Ability to conduct research, development and deployment of new manufacturing technologies, Robotics or IoT platforms and capital equipment to improve current throughput, reduce scrap/rework, reduce costs, improve quality, reliability and visibility.
Analyze automation design and continuous improvement:
Have a systematic as well as creative approach to problem solving process.
Demonstrate vision and foresight to test processes and build robust risk assessment analysis matrices to ensure project success.
Provide multiple hypothetical scenarios to find the best total cost solution.
Maintenance
Participate in equipment maintenance, draft SOP, Create BOM for equipment management.
Ensure compliance and implementation of regulations on labor safety, fire prevention and legal regulations.
Participate in maintenance and repair of machinery failures and provide appropriate preventive measures.
Other tasks
