Backend Developer (Cloud, DevOps)

The Cloud Engineer position is critical to making this happen and your key accountabilities will include:
- Building real- time analytical capability to power:
- Providing platform users insights on how they can get more value out of spend on cloud resources
- ANZx&039;s finops capability, helping identify opportunities to refine and improve the efficiency of our services
- How we measure adoption and migrate users to new products and patterns
- How we provide support to platform users; leveraging automation to improve
- Leveraging advanced techniques to create a modern support experience
- Creating a consistent data model and standard patterns for ingesting, storing and visualizing data
What will your day look like?
- Working in an agile framework with a cross functional team of Platform and analysts to deliver solutions for understanding and improving the platform ANZ Plus is built on:
- Building optimized data solutions and ingestion patterns with considerations for security and data governance
- Building data pipelines and a real- time data eco- system to provide interactive customer experiences that will feed data into other systems via multiple interface types

- From 4 YOE as backend developer (Go, Java, Python)
- A strong product mindset and passion for user experience.
- You are comfortable with tools used to define IAC (Infrastructure as Code) i.e., Terraform / CDK.
- Proven successful building large data solutions
- You live and breathe automation and testing.
- Ability to multi- task, highly adaptable to change and ambiguity
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to non- technical audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams
- Extensive experience in Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and DevOps
- Experienced with common design and architectural patterns coupled with a passion for writing clean code that is performant and well tested.
- Proactive, shows initiative and keen to try new things i.e. new technologies
- Ability to work independently whilst also being a good team player.
- You know how distributed systems can fail and how to architect them to be resilient.
