Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails/Golang)

Floating Cube Studios Vietnam (FCS) is a Singaporean IT company established in 2009 in HCMC. (
We're looking for a generalist product engineer who loves building software to change the way we live and work. 
You'll be responsible for server portions of our point of sale and business platform software, which forms the backbone of our customers’ retail operations. We use Ruby on Rails on the server backend and C # for our native apps.
You will interact with actual customers, gather requirements and have a say in the architecture of our next generation of business software products.
Your work will encompass:

• Building and maintaining the core of project.
• Using best practices, such as Test Driven Development, and Domain-Driven Design as an architectural guide.
• Building integrations with third-party tools and APIs.
• Spinning up proof of concepts to demonstrate if projects are technically viable and achievable in a short time frame.
• A wide range of tasks with excitement and as a sense of opportunity with a growing product suite.

Must have:

• Solid experience in Ruby and the Rails framework or Golang.
• Willingness to learn new programming languages and frameworks.
• Passion for code quality and improvement.
• Basic English communication (Reading and Writing).

Nice to have:

• PostgreSQL DB, Heroku and Amazon AWS infrastructure.
• Experience with code review and GIT workflows.
• RSpec experience or other test tools.
• React experience and knowledge in product design is a plus.
