Backend Engineer (Golang)

General Responsibilities

You explore, propose, and potentially apply the latest industry standards for your deliverables
You actively participate in team discussions by casting your feedback, approvals, and disapprovals in a civilized manner, and you challenge your peers to do the same
You develop and maintain our EdTech platform components based on our current tech stack
You take part in the deployment and operation processes for our EdTech platform ecosystem
You take part in the development of our EdTech platform ecosystem in a proactive & collaborative manner
You are vigilant yourself and challenge to help maintain or improve the vigilance of your colleagues
You train yourself or receive training on technologies, languages, and frameworks that you need to be productive with our EdTech platform ecosystem

Company Tech Stack

Server- side: GoLang, PHP
Client- side: HTML, CSS, JS, React, ReactNative
Open to other languages / frameworks as business requires

At least 3+ years’ experience with Golang
You take part in decision making processes with regards to which technologies the company should pick up for itself, or for its customers
You are expected to provide help and support to fellow junior engineers (if/when applicable) by showing guidance, helping to realize sensible task breakdowns, while being a trusted source/partner for leadership (e.g. Tech Lead or Engineering Manager)
You keep yourself constantly up- to- date with the latest GoLang ecosystem, while at the same time, you maintain the existing stack & selectively apply new technologies based on pragmatism & future readiness, not by hype
