- Stay in the moment by understanding and anticipating guests’ needs, being attentive and taking ownership of getting things done.
- Prepares bar requisitions and internal transfers for approval by Bar Supervisor.
- Ensures that all drinks and cocktails are prepared according to standard recipes, cards and hotel standards.
- Cut limes, oranges and pineapple for garnishes.
- Prepare and serve drinks.
- Flush out draft beer lines.
- Responsible for the proper preparation and mixture of beverages in the hotel in accordance with standard recipes.
- Clean out ashtrays.
- Assists the accounting staff during stocktaking i.e. setting up the bar to facilitate the inventory count.
- Handles the correct glassware to be used for dispensing specific drinks and maintains par stock of all equipment in use.
- Make it memorable by being knowledgeable, sharing stories and showing your style to create moments that make people feel special
- Responsible for cleanliness of bar area at shift end.
- To arrive on duty punctual in a clean, sober and smart appearance.
- Cleans and polishes bar utensils and equipment for use including glasses.
- Wipe down bar counter.
- Replenish juices and mixes.
- Ensures smooth daily operation and cleanliness of his work area.
- Receives instructions from the Bar Supervisor on the various jobs to be carried out.
- Fill out a requisition form to bring the bar stock up to par. Reports as well as any slow moving items to the Bar Supervisor for adjusting stocks.
- Be charming by being approachable, having confidence and showing respect.
- Clean all bottles and refrigerators daily.
- Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time. Carries out effective beverage service by ensuring:
- Coffee and tea is served hot and in accordance with standard
- Promoting and selling cocktails to guests
- Making and presenting cocktails
- Converse with Guests about wine, advising the types and styles of wine, taking wine orders and serving wine
- Beverages are up- sold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations
- Patron care standards are adhered to by ensuring:
- The strengths of alcohol is advised and guests are advised as to their effect
- Level of intoxication of guests is assessed and appropriate action taken
- Compliance with legal provisions of local liquor codes
- Guests are advised on alcoholic beverages
- Advise guest on the hotel’s policy of smoking
- Monitor factors which interfere with the total experience of the guest
- Cellar operations are carried out including:
- Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
- Effective operation of the post- mix syrups bulk dispense system
- Works with Superior in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget
- Adhering to stock control procedures/ FIFO
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager to source and review outlet musicians
- Correct use of refrigeration system
- Operating the beer reticulation system
- Train bar attendant, wait help and bus help in basic beverage knowledge and beverage service
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
- Complete spillage report and submit to Food and Beverage manager at the Conclusion of each shift
- Assist to promote the musicians
- Requisition bar items according to bar stocks
- Design promotional material which is aimed at increasing revenue, covers and profit for the Bar with the approval of the Food and Beverage Manager
- Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
- Works with Superior on manpower planning and management needs
Yêu cầu công việc
- Calm and patient. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Skills: Negotiation, Problem Solving, Time Management;
- High School or Vocational Certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field.
- 01 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non- alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred.
