BI Engineer (Business Intelligence)

JOB SUMMARY

VN Business Intelligence Engineer drives the data analytics solution which is put strategically under Advanced Manufacturing and Automation departments as well as coordinated across Business Application, Operational Excellent, or other Operation local departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

• Utilize data modeling techniques and tools (e.g., Power BI, Grafana) to create interactive dashboards and visualizations for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop business cases for new solutions and provide ad- hoc analysis to support decision- making.
• Perform advanced data cleansing and preprocessing techniques to prepare large datasets for analysis, utilizing SQL, Python, and data visualization tools.
• Analyze manufacturing data to uncover opportunities for enhancing product quality, reducing cycle time, and increasing operational efficiency, reporting findings to management with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Conduct in- depth data analysis using statistical methods to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights to support driving the shopfloor&039;s action.
• Identify areas for cost optimization and provide recommendations to reduce expenses based on data insights.
• Stay up- to- date with the latest advancements in data engineering, BI tools, and manufacturing technologies to continuously enhance data capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications for new reports, dashboards, and data models.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Automation Engineering, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering is required.
Experience:

1- 3 years related experience in corporate operation environment.

Functional Skills:

Expertise with business intelligence tools such as Power BI & Grafana for creating interactive reports and dashboards tailored to manufacturing KPIs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast- paced environment
Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, spreadsheet and other data analysis tools is required
Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis; familiarity with C for integration and automation tasks.
Strong problem- solving skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management is a plus
Experience with database management tools such as SQL management studio, DBeaver, pgAdmin (PostgreSQL) for navigating and extracting data from databases.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present data- driven insights and technical information to non- technical stakeholders.
Solid understanding of on- prem and cloud data architectures, including data lakes and data warehouses.
