Boiler Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
- Assist in maintenance and repairs of boiler & ESP and related auxiliary mechanical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operation. Based on gained experience, O&M manuals and procedures, he will be able to understand failure symptoms and repair accordingly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform maintenance duties in a safe, environmentally friendly and workmanlike manner.
- Assist in troubleshooting and isolating boiler equipment problems and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
- Perform other comparable and related duties as assigned.
- Prepare, maintain and update documentation, reports and CMMS as required.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on boiler and related mechanical equipment.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Familiar with P&ID drawing, Visual inspection and periodic maintenance for Mechanical facilities such as Boiler, Boiler auxiliaries, etc.
- Ability to Interpret Mechanical drawing, Hydraulic drawing, Vibration trend and the Result of diagnosis of mechanical troubles.
- Prefer a certificate of completion on mechanical theory, hydraulic control mechanism, coal combustion theory and thermal dynamic theory.
- A certificate of completion for training courses on the structure and basic principle of Boiler facilities such as Mill, Axial fan, Air preheating system, and Coal burning system.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance or equivalent industrial environment including mechanical equipment and maintenance work planning.
- Prefer a certificate of completion for the training course on the routine or preventive maintenance work of Boiler, Boiler auxiliary of Super critical coal boiler power plant
- Ability to conduct Planning and problem analysis regarding Boiler or mechanical Part of the supercritical coal power plant.
- Upper beginner level communication skills in the English language (written and verbal). Able to response using basic grammar & vocabularies.
- 2 – 3 years vocational/ technical school diploma or equivalent level of experience required.
- Available to work overtime, weekends and shift work if necessary.
