Boiler Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Assist in maintenance and repairs of boiler, ESP, AHS, FGD, WT and WWT mechanical systems including related BOPs, auxiliary mechanical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operation. Based on gained experience, O&M manuals and procedures, he will be able to understand failure symptoms and repair accordingly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on boiler, ESP, AHS, FGD, WT, WWT system and related mechanical equipment.
Assist in troubleshooting and isolating boiler, ESP, AHS, FGD, WT and WWT system equipment problems and implement corrective actions as appropriate.
Perform maintenance duties in a safe, environmentally friendly and workmanlike manner.
Perform other comparable and related duties as assigned.
Prepare, maintain and update documentation, reports and CMMS as required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Prefer a certificate of completion on mechanical theory, hydraulic control mechanism, coal combustion theory, fluid dynamic theory and thermal dynamic theory.
2 – 3 years vocational / technical school diploma or equivalent level of experience required.
Ability to conduct Planning and problem analysis regarding Boiler or mechanical Part of the supercritical coal power plant.
A certificate of completion for training courses on the structure and basic principle of Boiler facilities such as Mill, Axial fan, Air preheating system, and Coal burning system.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in plant maintenance or equivalent industrial environment including mechanical equipment and maintenance work planning.
Available to work overtime, weekends and shift work if necessary.
Upper beginner level communication skills in the English language (written and verbal). Able to response using basic grammar & vocabulary.
Prefer a certificate of completion for the training course on the routine or preventive maintenance work of Boiler, Boiler auxiliary of Super critical coal boiler power plant and ESP, AHS, FGD, WT, WWT.
Familiar with P&ID drawing, Visual inspection and periodic maintenance for Mechanical facilities such as Boiler, Boiler auxiliaries, etc.
Ability to Interpret Mechanical drawing, Hydraulic drawing, Vibration trend and the Result of diagnosis of mechanical troubles.
