Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the modernization of our Debt Collection System (DCS). This role will be responsible for gathering business requirements, analyzing processes, and bridging the gap between technology teams and business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of a cloud- based, AI- powered, and mobile- first debt collection platform.
• Coordinate with testing teams to develop UAT test cases and validate that system changes meet business expectations.
• Facilitate training and change management efforts, ensuring end- users adopt the new system effectively.
• Develop and maintain detailed business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications (FSD), and user stories.
• Collaborate with technology teams, software vendors, and third- party partners to ensure business needs are accurately translated into system features.
• Conduct gap analysis between current debt collection workflows and the future system’s capabilities.
• Assist in data migration planning, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance throughout the transition.
• Work with business stakeholders from debt collection, risk, IT, compliance, and finance to define and document business and functional requirements for the new DCS.
• Define and document end- to- end user journeys, use cases, and process flows to optimize collection strategies.
• Support AI- driven automation initiatives by identifying key areas where machine learning models can improve collection efficiency.
Required Experience and Skills
• Familiarity with SQL, data analytics, and reporting tools to extract insights from collection data.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate between business and technology teams effectively.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, with experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and working with product backlogs.
• Hands- on experience with requirement gathering methodologies, business process modeling (BPM), and gap analysis.
• Strong knowledge of debt collection workflows, risk assessment, and compliance regulations such as Basel III, IFRS 9, GDPR, and PCI DSS is a plus.
• Experience in cloud- based system transformation, with an understanding of SaaS, APIs, and data integration.
• Experience with AI and automation in debt collection processes is a plus.
• At least five years of experience in business analysis, system transformation, or process improvement in banking, fintech, or enterprise IT.
• Ability to support UAT, system testing, and change management to ensure a smooth transition to the new DCS.
