Business License and Compliance Specialist

This role is pivotal in contributing to Starbucks&039; success by ensuring the implementation of business compliance policies and legal protocols within store operations and related departments of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Licensing Management:
- Provide periodic updates on license status, addressing any outstanding items, to pertinent departments.
- Conduct research on licensing requirements and offer guidance on regulatory compliance.
- Maintain regular communication with state regulators to fulfill licensing obligations promptly.
- Facilitate the acquisition of necessary licenses for store operations, encompassing pre- opening, opening, and ongoing requirements.
- Collaborate closely with relevant departments to prepare and maintain occupational licensing applications and fulfill other regulatory prerequisites.
Inspection Support:
Prepare and furnish documents and guidance to Store Managers and District Managers for interactions with local inspectors, including post- inspection processes.
Legal Compliance:
- Offer advice on various legal matters and risks.
- Stay abreast of new legal regulations and provide internal stakeholders with clarification on changes.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all governmental regulations relevant to store operations.
Documentation Management:
Maintain organized filing and tracking systems for licensing documents, including originals, notarized copies, and scans.
Assist in other compliance- related activities as required.

Experience:
- 1- 2 years of experience in compliance or legal roles.
- Innovation: Demonstrated eagerness to innovate processes and procedures with fresh ideas and forward- thinking approaches.
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective problem- solving skills, capable of promptly interpreting and acting on information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
