• Leverage communication and influencing skills to guide issue and corrective action plan owners and issue managers during times of distress during the issue management process.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm&039;s reputation, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Participates in the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
• Facilities and ensures Issue Management Quality Standards are met for issues documented. Manages and drives the incident management process from Start to Finish
• Builds partnerships with supported Line of Businesses Operations leaders, process owners, client experience leaders, control leaders, and Training, so that efforts are aligned with strategy and department efforts, regular two- way communication exists, downstream impacts are considered, and business solutions are optimized.
• Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
• Keeps abreast of the organization&039;s operational processes and best practices for business strategy.
• Identifies, evaluates, and manages potential risks arising from the definition of business strategy, development of new products and services, changes in regulations or internal policies, or from business- led changes.
