JOB SUMMARY
Support Casegoods Design and Merchandising.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on Product Design and Merchandising
Responsible for creating new design concepts for the CG division; develop seasonal collections and product lines; assist in trend analysis and market research; collaborate with R&D team to ensure designs meet manufacturing capabilities and cost targets.

Research current market trends and consumer preferences
Assist in product line development and merchandising strategies.
Create design presentations and mood boards.
Support development of product specifications

Work with Cross- functional Teams

Coordinate with Merchandising team on product placement and pricing
Collaborate with R&D Engineering for design feasibility.
Support Sample Development team during prototype creation
Assist Sourcing team with material selection and finishing options.

Participate in product development meetings and provide design input for continuous improvement.

Maintain design documentation and archives.
Assist in preparation of seasonal collection presentations.
Support photography and catalog development

Process Casegoods projects per Supervisor assignment
Perform other tasks as assigned by Department Head

INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor&039;s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field
Merchandising coursework or certification preferred
Education

Retail or merchandising experience is an advantage.
Experience
Internship or course projects in furniture design preferred
Basic understanding of furniture manufacturing processes
0- 2 years of experience in furniture design or merchandising

Knowledge of:

Furniture design principles and trends
Merchandising and retail concepts
Basic cost analysis and pricing strategies
Basic manufacturing processes and materials
Color theory and finish applications

Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Strong visual presentation skills
Excellent communication skills
Fluent in English
Detail- oriented with good organizational abilities

Computer Skills

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Basic CAD skills
Digital rendering software experience a plus
