JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Define a yearly budget and forecast in terms of Sales, Profits, number of SKU`s to develop
- Ensure effective communication of Strategy and Category Objectives with Operations and regular follow- up for feedback and checks on progress
- Define and execute the local Food import strategy
- Recruit, train, develop and manage, within budgeted staffing levels, Category Manager(s) and other supporting staff to enhance their capability in selecting and merchandising products that meet customer needs
- Develop and maintain a supplier base in Vietnam and abroad, exploiting opportunities for synergy with MM Mega Market companies to satisfy volume, cost, quality and delivery requirements
- Set- up action plan for each customer groups and align with Category Managers which products to create, to optimize, to stop
- Regular monitoring and updating of Shape Measures if any
- Implement most efficient end- to- end import process, aligning with external parties
- Develop and maintain effective internal communications channel particularly with other Category Management teams, sales & marketing, logistic and other functions within the organization
- Identify, plan and organize market research, analysis and evaluation to identify customers’ needs
- Collect Customer/Store feedbacks on Import items through Sales Force
- Liaise with the QA Manager to develop needed quality policies and procedures for a product within the group and to monitor the implementation of those policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good communication and negotiating skills. Fluency in Vietnamese and English languages (both written and oral)
- Good understanding of local market and customer needs on imported food products.
- Strong analytical ability and good in data/figures

- A high degree of business acumen with proven judgment in prioritizing tasks, having an understanding of competition and organizational core competencies
- Self- disciplined with ability to work independently and under pressure
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or International Trade
- At least 3 years of experience in sales & marketing, or purchasing/ category management FMCG products; with at least 2 years’ experience with imported food area.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to earn respect and trust from senior managers, peers, subordinates and external parties including governmental bodies and customers.
