Chassis Lead Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of trials and launch activities in collaboration with plant teams and other departments. Ensure smooth integration of the chassis module into the production environment.
Actively monitor the overall program status, including tooling readiness, component delivery, and issue resolution. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and follow up on any open issues.
Responsible for overseeing and monitoring the overall readiness of the chassis module throughout the program development phase (LHD and RHD). This includes managing updates, tracking status, and ensuring alignment on tooling, soft tooling/hard tooling, DVP (Design Verification Plan), build- up issues, sign- off of cars, EBOM maturity, etc.
Able to operate CATIA V5 for design/modelling, and updates of chassis components. Ensure that the designs are aligned with the required specifications and maintain proper EBOM management through Teamcenter to track product lifecycle and updates.
Manage and coordinate the Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Deviation Change Requests (DCR), ensuring that necessary design changes are implemented in a timely manner and in accordance with program requirements.
Oversee and manage engineering documentation such as DVP (Design Verification Plan), DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SOR (System/Software Requirements), SPB (Specification Breakdown), DWG (drawings), and other essential technical documents, ensuring they are up- to- date and accurate.
Utilize your strong skills in root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues that may arise during the development, trial, or production phases, ensuring minimal disruptions to the program timeline.
Ensure a comprehensive understanding of overall chassis components and systems, as well as the manufacturing processes. Monitor and coordinate the progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive engineering, with a focus on chassis components and systems.
Technical Skills:
Knowledgeable in the manufacturing processes for chassis components
Proficiency in CATIA V5 for design and 3D modeling of automotive chassis components.
Solid understanding of EBOM management and related processes.
Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems to manage engineering data and product lifecycle.
Proficiency in English for effective written and verbal communication. Ability to coordinate with different teams, prepare clear reports, and deliver updates.
Ability to plan, execute, and manage trial and launch activities in a manufacturing environment, ensuring smooth integration into production.
Strong skills in root cause analysis and troubleshooting, with the ability to resolve issues efficiently to maintain program timelines.
Experience managing key engineering documents such as DVP, DFMEA, SOR, SPB, DWG, and others. Ensure proper documentation and alignment across the project.
Experience in managing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Deviation Change Requests (DCR), with a strong understanding of how to implement and track changes effectively.
