Position Title: Chief Accountant
Sunrise Events Vietnam organizes some of the most well recognized mass participation sporting events in Vietnam such as Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon, Techcombank Ha Noi Marathon, VinFast IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam, BIM Group IRONMAN 70.3 Phu Quoc. We specialize in end- to- end experiences that bring together local governments, corporate partners, and consumers to promote active lifestyles and sports tourism throughout Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial and Accounting Management
● Advise on adequacy, content, and structure of the Company&039;s economic contracts.
● Presenting financial statements to the company&039;s management and relevant agencies.
● Develop and help to implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance drive efficiency.
● Other relevant documents of the enterprise.
● Maintain the confidentiality of economic and financial information.
● Oversee the monthly closing process, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with VAS and SEV’s managerial requirements.
● Control and manage the process of bookkeeping, entry of accounting data, accounting of payment entries, asset inventory processes, preparation of financial statements and lead the monthly close process in a timely manner.
Management accounting
● Supervising, checking and evaluating the work efficiency and capacity of accounting department staff.
● Assist with gap analysis and provide recommendations to controlling costs.
● Coordinate the budgeting process, and work closely with senior management and department heads to develop financial forecasts.
● Develop models and ad hoc reports as needed by senior management, department heads, and our Board of Directors to provide timely information and insight and catalyze decision making.
● Make detailed work plans and organize the tasks of the accounting department.
Leadership and Team Management
● Collaborate with other department heads to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate and timely reporting
● Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance on accounting principles and professional development
● Implement training and retraining plans with an eye towards constant improvement, and build a team of accounting staff in the Company.
Tax compliance
● Work with external auditors as necessary, and submit accurate reports to the appropriate authorities on a timely basis
● Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Cash Management
● Provide detailed spend analysis and propose effective cost control measures.
● Manage cash flow and liquidity, and make recommendations to help optimize working capital.
● Organize planning, check reports, evaluate the implementation of the company&039;s monthly, quarterly, and annual cost plans....
Other missions
● Coordinating in performing other tasks as requested by the Board of Directors.
● Provide accounting data for relevant agencies and ministries
● Make suggestions to improve processes in the accounting department, and the accounting book system.
● Organizing and deploying accounting software.
Skills & Experience required:
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common accounting software especially FAST;
● University degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent professional certificates;
● Resilient and can adapt to changing priorities.
● At least 5 years accounting work experience and 2 years accountant management experience;
● Familiarity with local tax regulations and International tax regulations;
● Priority will be given to candidates with Event Agency experience;
● Excellent leadership and communication skills, including proficiency in written and spoken English;
● local Certified Chief Accountant or above;
● High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards;
● Honest, hard- working, friendly and cautious, can work under high pressure in a fast- paced environment;
