Chief Accountant

About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and detail- oriented Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction sector. This position plays a key role in managing all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese regulations, and supporting project- related financial activities including client claims and contractor payments. Excellent command of both spoken and written English is required. Extensive experience in the construction field is our highest priority.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day- to- day accounting operations including:

Lead and mentor a small accounting team to ensure performance and compliance.
Bank transactions for both local and international payments;
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all accounting entries;
Coordinate with project teams for cost tracking and financial forecasting;
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports and statements;
Sub- contractor and supplier payments monitoring and verification;
Client claims and progress payment tracking;
Liaise with external auditors, tax officers, and relevant authorities;
Handle VAT, CIT, PIT, and other tax compliance in accordance with Vietnamese laws;
Monitor and manage import transactions, including duties and customs procedures for materials/products from overseas;

Requirements:

Certified Chief Accountant (CCA) license in Vietnam is required;
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills;
Able to deal with tax and do financial report
Solid knowledge of Vietnamese tax law, accounting standards, and import/export procedures;
Familiarity with banking procedures and international transfers;
Experience with construction
At least 5 years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in the construction industry;
100% speaking English
Bachelor&039;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
Understand well about oversea transaction

Preferred:

Experience working with foreign- invested or international construction firms;
English proficiency is a plus (especially for communication with overseas partners).
