Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be responsible for building a robust accounting system, overseeing tax planning and compliance, and providing accurate, timely financial insights to support strategic decision- making. The Chief Accountant will also develop and mentor an in- house finance team capable of supporting rapid growth, new product launches, and international expansion.
PATI Group is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance and accounting function, ensuring full compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and readiness for IFRS adoption.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Accounting Leadership & Compliance
Control all transactions: A/R, A/P, cash, fixed assets, inventory, CAPEX; ensure proper documentation, approval flow and reconciliations.
Set up, organize and maintain the full accounting system, chart of accounts, vouchers and ledgers in strict adherence to VAS and relevant regulations.
Own month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing; deliver statutory and management financial statements (T/Q/Y) with zero material misstatement.
Tax Management
Lead annual tax finalization and act as the company’s representative in tax audits; maintain clean tax position with no penalties.
Supervise accurate preparation and on‑time filing of VAT, CIT, PIT and other statutory tax reports.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Coordinate with FP&A to build, monitor and optimize operating budgets and rolling forecasts.
Analyze variances, cost structures and working‑capital drivers; recommend improvements to meet EBIT & cash‑flow targets.
Internal Controls & Process Optimization
Design, document and continuously improve finance SOPs, authority matrices and system integrations (e.g., ERP / SAP).
Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements; deliver “clean” audit opinions annually.
Team Development & Stakeholder Management
Recruit, coach and appraise a team of 1‑3 accountants; set KPIs, training roadmaps and succession plans.
Act as finance business partner to other departments and provide counsel to Management Board on accounting, tax and regulatory matters.
