Chief Accountant - Fintech

Vietnam will be the first of numerous countries that our client is launching abroad. Headquartered in Singapore, focusing on providing lending services (PDL) to selected borrowers. Through multiple channels, they aim to provide financial services by using big data and tech. They aim to create disruption in the conventional market. We are looking to bring on board an exceptional Chief Accountant to maintain accounting and basic managerial accounting in the company.
Reporting to the CEO Vietnam, CFO Moneyveo Group – treasury, taxes and managerial reporting, the capable candidate is expected to lead accounting in Vietnam. Other key responsibilities include:
payments processing and records in accounting software system
managerial accounting and consolidation;
VAT registration and payment;
personnel accounting;
intercompany transactions reconciliation;
statutory reporting (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement).
business operations: payroll and taxes on payroll, rent / utilities, other overhead);
reporting to tax authorities and regulatory agency (according to legal framework);
to keep records of accounts receivable and payable;

We are looking for a high caliber Vietnamese with either Fintech, financial services, telecom, SaaS (online retailer Fintech, financial services, telecom, SaaS (online retailer)/ecom, etc.) or technology-related industry background.
Without doubt you must come with experience building department and function from scratch.
• English – upper intermediate level is must.
• Drive to build processes and initiative.
• Strong leadership with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a lean team, proactive.
• High education – accounting and audit.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the start-up environment.
• Russian language will be an advantage
• Prior working experience covering different areas across Vietnam is a must.
• Experience working in top MNCs is preferred.

• An Office location- 21 Nguyen Trung Ngan, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, HCMC
• We need a full-time candidate responding to our requirements.
For the beginning to launch the business (3-6 months) – will be outsourcing to a 3rd party Audit and Financial services company to support the Chief Accountant.
• Professional certifications like ACCA, CPA, CFA-as a plus, local version of ACCA – is preferred.
• Using accounting systems - 1C (Vietnam).
• Accounting team will be hired according to business growth and business need. The CA will be responsible for hiring the specialist in its division.
• We are requiring strong knowledge in financial and accounting policies including VAS (Vietnam) Accounting Standards and IFRS (Europe Standards). USGAAP – not necessary.
• The position will be reporting to the CEO of Vietnam – non-expat person.
• Other benefits will be in progress, motivation program will be developed. We will pay attention to the expectations of candidates.
