Chief Accountant

Cooperate with the Internal and External Auditors in completing schedules and supporting documents so their jobs can be completed expeditiously. Assist in implementing recommendations for improvement of internal control.
Check the preparation of depreciation and amortization schedules.
Attend executive and department meetings and act as the Finance representative when FC is not available.
Understand the policies and procedures pertaining to your department’s operation and work with the Financial Controller to ensure all manuals are up to date.
Maintain proper internal control procedures and advise the FC of any changes which he/she considers advisable, such as changes in the distribution of the accounting staff workload or adoption of new forms or procedures.
Check and verify payment from account payable, review posting from account payable to ensure accurately record.
Check and record barter report from AR, verify commission for TA.
Check and interface invoices from system, check reports from Cost (OC- ENT) and month- end to ensure expenses record accurately, support to inventory for month- end and spot check.
Check bank reconciliation statements and ensure these are done religiously on a monthly basis. Coordinate the preparation for reconciliation of all monthly balance sheets, preparation of journal vouchers and implement month- end closing.
Verify payment requests, establish a proper filling system for easy tracing and retrieval
Check and prepare debit note for internal property every month end.
Give clear, concise directions, provide support and supervise your associates to ensure that directions are properly executed.
Actively plan and participate in the preparation of monthly Operating Reports and Financial Statements.
Supervise Income Audit work flow: check reports and month- end
Maintain accurate records of all prepaid expenses, accrual and deferred income.
Do tax report as schedule every month.

At least 2 years of experience in accounting or have worked as Chief Accountant/ General Accountant for 4 or 5 star hotel.

• Have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor&039;s degree in Accounting, Auditing or similar field.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good time management skills.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Experience with accounting software.
