Chief Engineer (Pre-opening)

 Lead all engineering and technical aspects of the hotel pre- opening, including evaluating all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, fire & life safety, sustainability, and commissioning.
 Support procurement and installation of engineering equipment and spare parts.
 Develop preventive maintenance programs, SOPs, and energy management strategies before hotel opening.
 Recruit, train, and manage the engineering team for operational readiness.
 Coordinate with consultants and PM team on implementing commissioning test of all MEP systems and finishing works and providing defect list to ensure the project are built with high standards as per design expectation and meet brand standards as well as local regulations, especially fire safety requirements before handover to operation.
Operation Phase:
 Works with Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs
 Control of Capital Project Planning, in liaison with management, to ensure capital funding is effectively allocated and budgeted in accordance with company directives and philosophy.
 Ensure the effective financial management of the engineering department by setting maintenance budgets, capital works program’s and engineering plans and ensuring that performance against there are regularly monitored and reviewed. Responsible for the general cost control aspects of maintenance, the preparation of departmental cost budgets and their implementation and submission to management.
 Provide advice to senior management on all aspects of engineering support, environmental controls and the operational efficiency of the property.
 Contribute to the hotel’s profitability by ensuring the effective management of the buildings environmental controls and energy conservation systems. Evaluate, control and record energy usage and implement and upgrade energy conservation systems.
 Works with Director of Finance in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget.
 Provide technical support for other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
 Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.
 Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
 Ensure the staff awareness of energy management within the property by conducting regular education and training programs on energy conservation and matters related to efficient operation of equipment in a cost- effective fashion.
 Plan, implement and administer an energy management program by establishing energy reduction objectives, the maintenance of records and regular reporting of performance against these objectives.

 Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highlyon the hotel, the brand and the Company.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
Experience requirements:
 Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in luxury
hotels or resorts.
