Chief Information Technology/ Head of AI Japanese N2+

Please note: This position is open to both Vietnamese & Japanese candidates.
Job Overview: We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished CTO/ Head of AI (Japanese N2+) to define and execute NECVN’s AI strategy, ensure alignment with NEC HQ, and lead the development of innovative AI solutions that deliver measurable value to customers. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in artificial intelligence.

Act as a strategic and technical liaison between NECVN and NEC HQ, ensuring smooth collaboration and knowledge transfer.
Develop and lead NECVN’s AI strategy in alignment with NEC HQ’s global technology roadmap.
Translate customer and business requirements into scalable AI architectures and solutions.
Ensure technical excellence, innovation, and compliance with global standards in all AI initiatives.
Lead the AI engineering team in researching, designing, and deploying advanced AI solutions
Evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies and methodologies to maintain NECVN’s competitive edge.
Oversee the full AI lifecycle: from data acquisition and model development to deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate cross- functionally to integrate AI into broader digital transformation efforts and enterprise solutions.

Education & Background:

At least 3- 5 years in a Senior leadership role such as CTO, Head of AI, or equivalent, with proven experience in developing technology strategies, managing technical teams, and collaborating with international partners.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the technology industry, with at least 5- 7 years of deep specialization in AI, including areas such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and AI agents.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.

Technical Expertise:

Hands- on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and AI agents, including design, training, and deployment in production environments.
Experience with AI ethics, fairness, and responsible AI practices is a plus.
Solid understanding of data engineering, data governance, and model lifecycle management.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit- learn, Hugging Face, etc.

Leadership & Communication:

Experience working in multinational environments or with Japanese partners is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills in Japanese (N2 level), conversational in English
Strong strategic thinking and decision- making skills, with a business- oriented mindset.
Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, manage cross- functional projects, and drive innovation.
