We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and growth. The goal of the COO position is to promote joint effort across departments to secure business functionality and drive growth. As the COO, you will be the second- in- command and work closely with and support the CEO. The ideal candidate will possess leadership qualities, a background in finance and business operations with a solid understanding of engineering and construction activities. You will also have a proven track record in achieving operational excellence business growth and financial management for early- stage, high- growth companies in a highly professional manner.
What You Will Be Doing
Translate corporate strategy into actionable steps, promote synergy between departments, implement organization- wide performance achievement and evaluation systems, and participate in annual business budgeting and planning.
Lead and oversee the company’s project finance and related corporate finance activities, explore different sources of funding such as domestic bank loans, offshore senior loans, etc.
Ability to support and develop good interface between the Company’s clients, investors, shareholders, bankers, technical partners, and contractors to ensure solid business development and growth.
Collaborate with and provide support to the CEO to set and drive goals regarding organizational vision, operational strategy, ESG leadership and compliance, financing, financial performance, and other relevant aspects of our business.
Implement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve operational and ESG performance and profitability, and take corrective actions when needed.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulations to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
Explore market opportunities, involved in the formulation of the company’s business objectives and business plans to achieve rapid growth of the company’s business and investment returns and ESG objectives
Support the development of a strategic roadmap for future applications of solar energy, energy storage and the growth of associated technologies and services.
Oversee the company’s operations and employee productivity, build a highly inclusive culture, and ensure team members can thrive and that organizational and financial goals are met.
What We Need From You

Bachelor’s degree or above in one of business, finance, engineering, or a similar field.
A good understanding of corporate governance and prepared to initiate and implement necessary corporate oversight of an early- stage business.
Proven experience in executive leadership roles with direct P&L responsibility.
Effective communication skills related to board and financial partner communications including presentation skills at meetings and conferences.
Knowledge in finance and experience with project finance.
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication with stakeholders.
In- depth understanding of business development, financial reporting, project management and financial and ESG compliance.
Understanding and knowledge of engineering and construction, ideally with solar energy and energy storage experience.
Demonstrated track record of achieving business growth and profitability targets.
