General
Job Purpose: Plan and design the civil engineering facilities and structures in accordance with the contract documents, applicable laws, regulations, and standards of the project. Assist placing orders for construction works (including materials and constructions) of the assigned facilities and structures and site construction works. Assist and/or conduct supervision of engineering, fabrication and construction works of the sub- contractors.

Culvert, Trench, Underground pit, Pipe frame, Retaining wall, etc.
Monitor and Control Design Engineering Work
Receipt of design references, document list.
Monitor and control the schedule, delivery, quality.
Planning & Design Engineering Work
Check plant layout, loading data, reference data/drawings for foundation design etc. and incorporate those data as design conditions. Conduct basic planning and detailed design works for layout plan of civil facilities/structures, technical specifications, issue drawings for facilities and structures, etc.
Assist and/or conduct site survey.
Review and/or prepare site survey plans (site shape, geotechnical investigation, etc.).
Prepare requisitions for outsourcing design work and/or site survey as necessary. Conduct bid analysis (technical, scope of work) of the quotations by the vendors.
As for drawings and documents subject to client approval, obtain client approval.
Coordinate interface with other design group (process, mechanical, piping, furnace, boiler, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) and incorporate the results in the design drawings.
In cooperation with the project construction group, prepare reference documents, data and drawings, etc. required to issue RFQ for the civil construction works.
Prepare application documents and obtain permission and approval for civil related matters from appropriate administrative agencies as necessary.
In accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, and with simulation and/or calculation software, carry out calculation of ground bearing capacity, liquefaction analysis, calculation of consolidation settlement, ground stability analysis, strength calculation of various structures (steel structure, foundation, pile, etc.), storm drainage calculation, etc. and prepare calculation documents.
Review and approve sub- contractors’ construction drawings and procedures, and obtain client approval as necessary.
Conduct material take off (MTO) for the assigned facilities, structures, etc.
When so requested, attend the inspections at vendors’ factories and/or at the construction site.
Assist and/or conduct supervision of the sub- contractors’ fabrication, construction and inspection.
In case of any malfunctions or problems, investigate the cause, make plans and implement countermeasures, and issue a non- conformance report.
In cooperation with PM, BM and other managers of the project, assist change order adjustments to the client and/or sub- contractors for civil works.
Matter Worthy of Special Mention
This project is a three- company consortium (Engineering: MPS, Civil engineering and construction: Penta- Ocean Construction (POC), and Mechanical equipment/plant electrical equipment: JFEE), we will closely collaborate with partner companies.
When the construction stage begins, be involved in construction under the Site Manager.
