Cloud Engineer – Education & Managed Services

Role Overview:
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for operating, administering, and continuously improving cloud platforms, Google Workspace for Education, and campus IT infrastructure in a managed services environment. This role focuses on access management, security, cloud operations, education platform integration, and day- to- day service reliability under defined SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and support backup, DR, and compliance activities.
Design, configure, and operate campus network infrastructure (Wi- Fi, VLAN, VPN, security).
Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and deliver monthly operational reports.
Integrate education platforms (LMS/SIS) using SSO and standard APIs.
Operate and manage IAM and access control across Google Workspace and AWS.Administer Google Workspace for Education, including security, user lifecycle, and Classroom operations.
Support AWS managed services: governance, security monitoring, cost controls, and automation.

Solid knowledge of IAM, SSO (SAML/OIDC).
Hands- on experience with Google Workspace for Education.
2–5 years of experience in Cloud, System, or Network Engineering.
Experience operating AWS environments.
Strong networking fundamentals.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.
AWS Well- Architected Review experience.
Knowledge of LMS, SIS, OneRoster.
AWS or Google Cloud certifications.
